The traditional morning question
Mar. 22nd, 2007 06:13 amI am the ONLY morning person in our household. What this means practically is that just about every morning, as I'm putting on my makeup, I am yelling out to the others, "Are you up yet?"
Today, I posed the traditional morning question. From Fiona in the girls' room came, "Define 'up.'"
"Dressed and moving in a forward direction."
"Um [long pause] . . . I'm moving diagonally. Does that count?"
'
I cracked up as Fiona continued: "'Diagonal' has a little bit of 'forward' in it."
