The Twelve Days of Wrockmas

This was posted at Wizrocklopedia (wizrocklopedia) a few days ago. Sorry I didn't get the word out sooner:

The Wizrocklopedia, with the help of some of your favorite wizard rock bands, will be giving away free mp3 downloads every day for 12 days! These downloads include single, exclusive songs, songs you can’t download anywhere else currently, live sets, and live tracks from some of this year’s gigantic events.

Participants include, but are not limited to, Hollow Godric, Romilda Vane & the Chocolate Cauldrons, Oliver Boyd & the Remembralls, The Parselmouths, and The Remus Lupins.

Downloads will only be available on the day they’re unveiled. Check the site every day between tomorrow and December 20th so you won’t miss your chance!

The event will culminate with the raffling off of three prize packs each containing a CD by The Remus Lupins, a Parselmouths t-shirt, Wizrocklopedia “W” emblem guitar picks, and more.

Another beautiful Christmas Wizard Rock offering

Damn, but Jessie (The Curse Breakers) has a really wonderful voice. She has put up Dobby's Christmas Wish for free download, and it's a truly beautiful song.

(It looks like Myspace has changed things so that you have to sign up for an account to download free music. It's a pain, but I did so, although I'd resisted for a long time. I don't intend to do anything to speak of with the account, I just want to continue to be able to download music.)

What is WITH the girls?

Good heavens. They've never been into roughhousing much before, but for the past couple of weeks, they've been tumbling over each other like wolf cubs, wrestling in the car, in the kitchen, in my office, often with accompanying screams, until I'm just about ready to backhand them into next week. They are driving me crazy. A lot of it is over a hat that Fiona bought (it says "National Karate" on it) that she loves so much that she wears it 24/7. I mean, she even sleeps in it. Delia thinks it's fun to snatch the hat and try to keep it away from her, which leads to raging skirmishes all over the house. They also grab at each other in bear hugs, lifting each other off the ground--but they are both so strong now that a couple of times they have managed to hurt each other.

I have been tempted more than once to order one girl or the other to get out of the car and walk home just to have a moment's peace. I wonder what it prompting this. And how I will survive the winter if they keep it up.
