Well, I figured out went wrong with the phone

Because the same thing has now happened with the brand new phone, the one they just sent me. I'd had it a total of three frickin' days. I used the radio enhancement, and the instant I removed it, the screen went flat dead. I hadn't even had a chance to send the old one back.

Now I have two dead phones.
