I realize I've been actually been putting off making this entry, I think almost out of superstitious fear. We know that she got exposed to strep throat last week, but she seems to have dodged the bullet. Here goes:

hpalternity starts tomorrow!

I'd like to pass on an announcement for Harry Potter fans reading this journal (come on, there are at least one or two of you, right???):

ALTERNITY is a Harry Potter roleplaying game in the style of Nocturne Alley or That Was Then/This Is Now, set in an alternate universe where Lord Voldemort has the upper hand. We're beginning play on September 1, and we intend to play all 7 years of Harry's Hogwarts career - yes, in real time.

As a result of one tiny change in 1981, Harry Potter has been raised as Harry Marvolo, the Dark Lord's adoptive son and heir apparent. Draco Malfoy is his dogsbody, friend, and only confidant. Harry simultaneously loathes and is intrigued by the Mudbloods and Muggles that are interned in work camps throughout Great Britain. He knows nothing of the world beyond the United Kingdom's seemingly impenetrable wards. And he is about to start attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry... where he will encounter truths about his past, present, and future that he has never known before.

At Hogwarts, each of the students have been given special journals, which function - through magic - like LiveJournal. Unbeknownst to most, the Death Eaters and the Order of the Phoenix also have their own journal networks. To read the journals, simply read hpalternity and hpalternity's friends list.

Our contributors include myself, Fiona, Delia, flourish, gwendolyngrace, moony, eibbil_libbie, radiobroadcast, and several others. Casting is closed for now, but will re-open at a later date. 100 pushups - end of second week test

I managed 18. (Two weeks ago it was eight). Pretty good, but it moves me over to the 1st (wimpier) column. I had to do at least twenty to stay in the 2nd column, which I've been following the last two weeks.

Tomorrow starts the big Week 3 jump in repetitions. Urgh.
