Update on Fiona
May. 23rd, 2009 09:36 amFor those who asked, Fiona's back to normal, mostly. We never had an official diagnosis, since we ended up not taking her into the clinic. She was sick about five days in all, and was pretty run down. Rob and I are inclined to think it wasn't H1N1, but more likely a standard cold virus.
A disappointment: she'd signed up for a program that was supposed to help her get a summer job, but we just got word today that there weren't enough jobs for her. I'm pretty upset about this; we'd pinned a lot of hopes on that program. Fiona is therefore going jobhunting today, although I fear she has very little chance of success, frankly. I'm worried because I had built up a lot of my savings for college by working in the summer for several years before. If Fiona can't get a job at all, that'll only add to our difficulties of how-the-hell-are-we-going-to-pay-for-college.
