dlandon contacted me to let me know that she and her husband were planning to trade in their 2001 Honda Civic LX to the dealer because they are getting another car. There's nothing wrong with it; she just wanted something a little bigger because they are going to have a baby. It has 100,000 miles on it, and she's been the sole owner. She's offering it to us for a bargain price. Both Rob and I have had Honda Civics before and liked them, and they are Consumer Report's recommendation for best small car. My gas mileage is going to greatly improve, too.
She and her husband drove it over today for us to take a look at it, and I wrote her a portion of the asking price to seal the deal. We'll transfer the title early next week. Hurrah, and thanks todlandon!

dlandon!Soulcollage Card - Time - Council Suit
Dec. 18th, 2010 05:07 pmI have scanned the soulcollage cards I made last weekend and will begin to post them, one or two a day, I think. The description of the card is taken directly from the chapter Riddles in the Dark from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit. This card is added to the Council Suit (i.e., archetypes). Time as a concept in my mind is linked to both birth and death. I'm pretty pleased with this one:

Another Council card. I'm not quite sure about the title. I toyed with calling it "Dependability"; it's about the quality of something being there for you when you need it or reach out to it. The lilies of the valley were added because in the Victorian language of the flowers, they denoted 'trustworthiness.'
