The camera has been found

It was found, mysteriously, by a custodian in the math classroom. A room in which she never took it.

I wonder why the thief had second thoughts and ditched it. They were searching the students and their belongings in her advisory, maybe that was why. At any rate, the hot goods were dumped (at least hers; I don't know about the ipod that was lost) and her camera will be back in her eager hands next week.

Phew!
