Pretty good, overall.

However, we need to get the homework situation evened out between the two of them. Fiona cries because in sixth grade they give her so much homework. Delia was crying last night because her teacher has given her no homework at all and she's so bored with all the third-grade stuff her teacher is giving her since she did it all last year.

Hopefully, we'll get this all straightened out in their conferences next week.

I think as a general rule sixth graders are going to get more homework. Their assignments are more complex and take longer to finish, which often means they have to be completed at home, and teachers are also trying to prepare them for junior high. Not saying I agree with their methods, but that I do understand, being an education major myself.

As for Delia, is she in third grade? If so, why has she already done most of the work? Apparently I missed something along the way of reading your journal. :)
