A day of rest

I woke up with a queasy stomach this morning, and really exhausted. I called in and asked my attorneys about what sort of work load they expected for the day, and it became quickly clear that they really didn't need me to come in. So I stayed home and slept for about four hours. It felt good. I think, more than the sleep, I just needed a day to be alone and quiet. It felt quite restorative. I worked out when I felt better in the afternoon, and I read more of Tim Powers' Declare to prepare for Friday's interview, but otherwise didn't do anything virtuous, such as writing. This was just a day to rest and recharge.
