Christopher Reeve

I was really grieved to hear this morning of the death of Christopher Reeve. This is one of (rare) instances where a Hollywood celebrity really was a genuine hero. I truly admired him, and think of him and his family with heartfelt gratitude and sympathy.

And didn't Kerry even mention him during the last debate? *sigh* What a fighter! I was very saddened this morning to hear of his death. Perhaps, though, he can fly now.

Is it terrible that my first thought was 'damn, damn, damn. The medical community needs him! He can't go!' rather than regret for him or his family?

I thought about stem cell research before his family. He was such a fighter for that cause. Terrible, but realistic thoughts these days. I do feel for his family, though; they've been through so much.

Beautifully put. He can fly now. He really was such a special person and his attitude in life was amazing and inspirational. There is a saying that the good die young, and he certainly lives up to that.

I expect a lot of us were thinking about the issues he fought for. Which is probably how he would want, I think. He seemed like an awesome guy, and now it's weird and sad to think that's he gone now.
