Well, that was a surprise

pegkerrMy law firm has been noticing that morale has been sagging a bit around here lately, so the powers that be decided to institute a new thing where they serve lunch every quarter to the support staff (about thirty-five or so of us in all) and give an employee of the quarter award. The prize is a trophy to be displayed on the desk for the quarter and a cash bonus.
We had our first luncheon today, and the recipient of the quarterly award was um, me. I was surprised; my bet was on one of the legal assistants.
The other secretaries are teasing me mercilessly, so there's no danger I'll get a swelled head or anything.
