Just came back from several stores, where I wandered around for a couple hours but bought nothing. I was too crabby to open up the pocketbook, maybe.

I did the light box for a half hour today. I hope I see the sun soon. There has been a very thick cloud cover for days.

I have written and erased three sentences; they all sound too cranky to leave in, so I will end this entry here.

It has been a bit...dreary, hasn't it?

It's definitely the weather. We've been tired and out of sorts around here, too.

If it's any consolation...

...I've spend too much time this evening working on a video project 'cuz I couldn't get iMovie to do something that it shouldn't have any problem doing. Desperately wanted to slug the damn computer...

I think that trying to shop in the December madness is bound to make almost anyone cranky as all get-out. I spent an hour and a half yesterday helping a friend with her first Sephora foray, which was really fun because it was all new to her, and did not buy one thing for myself because frankly, the store was just too full of infuriating obnoxious people and I wasn't about to prolong the agony of being around them... especially if I had to stand in line with them. Playing make-up with my friend gave me something to focus on. If I hadn't had that, I would've been homicidal.

Oh, and Light Box Good! I don't have a light box but I did just swap out the normal bulbs for full-spectrum bulbs in the dining room and a few other places in the house and I'm shocked at how much more comfortable it feels hanging out in those rooms now. I can only imagine a light box is that much better.

What kind of light box do you have? I've never bothered to be officially diagnosed by anyone, but if I don't have SAD it's something close enough as makes no difference. And on top of that, my office is in the basement, with just a little basement-type window. The #1 stupid thing we did when we had the basement finished was not to put a big openable window in my office, as we did in the two rooms that might be used for sleeping.

I don't remember the manufacturer. I got it, I dunno, five? six years ago? It has the flourescent full spectrum bulbs, and it's pretty big. I set it on a table and eat my breakfast and read the newspaper with the thing shining on me.
