Gacked from [livejournal.com profile] pameladean: here is a site that provides both updates concerning and a variety of links for donations to help mitigate the effects of Sunday's earthquake and tsunami:

To see a list of relief efforts that you can donate to, scroll down; it's on the right.

One special plug --
Aceh, in Indonesia, has been the hardest hit of any area in this whole disaster (the epicentre was just off the coast), but due to the political situation there, most aid agencies have not been able to get access to the region.
As of today, Medecins Sans Frontiers/Doctors Without Borders has got eight medical personnel on the ground in Aceh and is coordinating an aid flight. This is the ONLY aid to have reached Aceh so far.
Please consider donating to MSF.

A follow-up to my own comment; I visted the blog above, which seems extremely well-informed about some areas but not about Indonesia. DO NOT donate to the Indonesian government or the Indonesian Red Cross, despite the suggestion on that blog. The chances of those donations reaching the people who need help are small to none. If you want to help people in Indonesia, MSF is currently the only reputable agency taking donations.
