The computer again, urk
Feb. 2nd, 2005 09:14 amWe're not out of the woods yet. Rob's third attempt to fix the computer problem has failed. Everything seemed fine when he loaded up the new disk drive, but when he swapped the new drive (80 gig) with the old back up drive (30 gig), so that the new drive was the master rather than the slave, the new drive suddenly wouldn't boot. And what's worse, now the 30 gig backup won't boot either. This is the second time this has happened. He had searched both drives for a virus and hadn't found anything, but it could be our virus-detection software didn't find something that's on there. He's going to take both drives into the store and have them tested there.
*gnashes teeth* God, I hope my data survives this debacle.
