We have achieved new levels of bafflement. The tech department at Rob's store found no virus on the (new) hard drive that suddenly won't boot. One bit of good news: all the data and file structure seems to be intact.

He's taking the whole CPU in on Monday.

I had this happen to our last computer. It took down one of our other computers, and then one of my dad's because he couldn't beleive that just putting it in as a slave would kill the primary.

He eventually took it into some computer guys who said it had to do with switches. It was over three years ago, so I don't recall more than that. Sorry.
