My thinking was: more stable operating system, no virus or worm threat, same productivity software she's using now (not me, Corel abandoned WordPerfect at System 7), more desk space, more knee space, less clutter, 64-bit hardware, and better audio/video performance when we get around to needing it. Not to mention sheer elegance.
