Me, I'd go for Jane Goodall.

Of course there's a story behind this...

About 10 years ago, when I was attending St. Paul Technical College, she came to town for a speech at the U of M, and a reception afterward. Since I was a student, I was able to attend both for what it would have cost a 'non-student' just to get to the speech.

Once the presentation was done, all of us with tickets to the reception head over to the Bell Museum, and once there I got into the autograph line. When I reached the table, I told her, "I hope you don't mind, but I just wanted to tell you that you've been my hero since I was a child."

"Well, that's lovely," she answered. "Thank you very much."

"That's great," I continued (even though I should know better), "Because I'm 37 years old and..."

She looked like she coulda slugged me right then and there.
