Rob speaks for my ovary
Jul. 7th, 2005 11:45 am[This seems weirdly petty to post, what with today's news. Still, it may give some people a smile.]
"I'm ovulating," I remarked to Rob last night. "Even though there aren't going to be any more babies." I sighed. "It's amazing . . . I guess my ovaries are the most optimistic organs in my body. No matter what, month after month, they keep hoping there is going to be another baby."
Rob grinned at me. "'Never surrender.'"

Date: 2005-07-07 09:31 pm (UTC)I can't usually feel myself ovulating - I feel the (ouch) larger rupture two days /after/ I ovulate instead.
Which means that for years, every month I was asking (because I inevitably forgot) which side the appendix was on, and only felt reassured every other month.
