Well, Fiona, first and foremost: work is more than what you do to pull a paycheck. Always remember that, and never denigrate the worth of what you put your time and life energy into, even if it isn't formally considered "a job." Other people do not confer worth. Money does not confer worth. There is much of worth that does not get recognized with money, and there is much being recognized with money that is of little or no real worth.
