Rita Skeeter glasses

From a comment on someone else's journal:
Just yesterday, I went out to buy a pair of reading glasses for Delia. She is going to camp this week and they were supposed to bring a costume of their favorite villains. I gave her the idea of going as Rita Skeeter, and we really got into making her costume for her: a green outfit, a press pass that read "Daily Prophet - Rita Skeeter." Reading glasses so that she could perch them on her nose and say, "Lovely," with relish, while brandishing her notepad and Quick Quotes Quill. We glued rhinestones on the glasses and strung a gold chain on them. With her hair up in pin-curls, she looked adorably, and screamingly, like a miniature Miranda Richardson. I am sorry I don't have a picture to show you, but I can't up-synch my camera. Maybe I can get it fixed next week.
Last night, I was sorting laundry and got extremely frustrated, as I have been ever since I got contact lens, because I can't read the itty bitty type on the washing labels. So I stole the rhinestone-encrusted Rita Skeeter glasses to use while sorting the laundry.
They worked quite perfectly, although I am sure I looked quite absurd wearing them.
