What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Inland North

You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop."

Could you cut-tag this? It's screwing up my friends page - from the way it's doing it, I'll bet it screws up a LOT of them.

I don't trust those with my accent. They seem accurate enough, but the words in my head are very different based on looks. They never ask if 'night' and 'knight' are the same, much less 'nite'. In my head, there's a difference.
This is why I sometimes sound a little weird; I'm trying to pronounce all the letters without actually changing the words. Alas.

"North Central" is what professional linguists call the Minnesota accent. If you saw "Fargo" you probably didn't think the characters sounded very out of the ordinary. Outsiders probably mistake you for a Canadian a lot.

This seems accurate since I am a Canadian :-))
