I've been reading posts and thinking about whether I should comment on the whole [livejournal.com profile] pottersginny kerfluffle. Some of my best friends on LJ seem to be doing a fine job holding their own in the uproar and I wasn't at all sure that [livejournal.com profile] pottersginny wasn't simply a troll anyway. I didn't feel it was too necessary for me to pile on. [livejournal.com profile] msscribe, I'm sorry you were called such an awful slur. [livejournal.com profile] infinitus, [livejournal.com profile] praetorianguard, [livejournal.com profile] queerasjohn you done good fighting the good fight.

It really grieves me to see someone claiming such atrocious views sprang from their Christianity.

I'm intrigued by [livejournal.com profile] vanityfair's suggested solution here. What sayeth the lawyer, [livejournal.com profile] praetorianguard, or anyone else? (I'd ask [livejournal.com profile] heidi8, but she seems to be busy off having a baby.) Is this over the legal line?

Oh, and one more thing: [livejournal.com profile] infinitus, your bodacious ta-tas icon really rocks!

You don't have a post up for today, but..
Happy Mother's Day!

Good grief.

I just did some reading through said kerfluffle, and I must say, I am astounded. Was even moved to post on my own LJ, though I left out linkage and names and other specifics. May I also take this opportunity to put in another shameless plug for St. Joan of Arc (http://www.stjoan.com/) in Minneapolis, just in case anyone out there needs reassurance that there is such a thing as a healthy, human-affirming expression of Christianity in this world? ;-)

Anyway, a happy Mother's Day to you, and I hope that you are doing better now.

Hi Peg. Just stopping by to thank you for the birthday wishes and the support for fighting the good, though eternally-exasperating fight, and to comment on Aja's Darlene Hereford Fund, or whatever it is.

Totally illegal. On so many levels. Mostly because she's invading Darlene's right to privacy and evading the tax code. *runs off to tell Aja*

Nice thought, but, yeah, totally illegal.

Thanks Peg, but is "Zebra" is the worse thing I'm ever called in my life, I think I'm doing pretty well. Besides, Zebras are sort of pretty.

Clarifying (as I'm able to be online for a bit now...) - everything above the ~~~~ is fine. Encouraging people to donate directly to charities in someone else's name = a fine thing to do. Have done it regarding Nimbus.

Rest of it? : agrees with Amy that there are Issues.

Must be clear when dropping by quickly!

There's a line. Of course, there's always a line. You can donate to a charity in someone else's name. You may not create a charity drive in someone else's name. She could sue for right of privacy issues and she'd have a case, at least, for libel.

*hopes that makes sense*

Better let Aja know. And [livejournal.com profile] queerasjohn, I know he's been promoting it, too.

She looked at them! She looked at them! The amazing author lady looked at my ta-tas!

Finally, the push-up bra pays off. ^_^

And I think Aja's solution is brilliant. Either that or I can just go off and make another interracial baby.

I've stayed out of the fray with her, but I really wanted to ask, "what's wrong with zebras, in your world? Aren't zebras one of the beautiful things that your God has created?"
