Apr. 15th, 2007 07:00 pmI have finished Naomi Novik's His Majesty's Dragon and it is only by exerting severe self-control that I am not diving into the second volume.
I told Kij I keep hearing Eloise's voice in my head (like in Eloise in Paris, the way she says, "There are several hotels in Paris.") Only she is saying, "There are several bicyclists in Seattle."
I want to go climbing again, damn it. This, of course, is madness. I would fall off the wall on the third handhold if I tried.
We ate picnic-style for dinner and finished off the last of the truffle honey I gave Kij the last time we got together.
I have played the evil seducer and discovered that Kij's cat, Hestia, likes brie cheese. She is licking her chops even now.
