A day that's a gift

My parents (askchar) are in town, visiting from their home in Georgia. They always come up near the end of summer. They are staying at my sister's house while my sister is on vacation. They took the girls last night and will return them Monday evening.

Rob has the day off work. An actual weekend day off.

DO YOU REALIZE WHAT THIS MEANS?

I ACTUALLY HAVE A DAY ALONE WITH MY HUSBAND.

This hasn't happened in what, like over two years? Something like that.

I blew off church (sorry, God) and slept in until 10:30. We are planning to go for brunch at the Turtle Bread Company. A plate of excellent french toast is in my immediate future. We'll probably clean up the house a bit, which is supposed to be done every Sunday. Then, oh, maybe a movie matinee. A little HP Education Fanon board business.

And probably some other private things that truly aren't any of your business. (grins)

Wow. I still can't believe it. A whole day alone with my husband. Squee.
