Ghosts: It's cheaper to film walking than gliding. I like the physics, but does not come close to countering all the many different types of ghost myths.
Vampires: I don't know what they've been watching/reading, but most vampire stories do not call for 1:1 ratio biting:siring; probably because the authors can imagine the math, even if they can't think it through to the end. Most of the vampire sagas I've come across allow for feeding without siring. Only a select few victims are taken into the vampire fold. The rest of us are just destined to be food.
Zombies: This was way cool. I had not heard of this linkage of pufferfish poison to Haitian zombification.
