A short while ago, I posted about writing a wizard filk to the Redhill Rats' song "My Father Was a Werewolf."

I should back up a little here and note that I first heard the song on Marc Gunn's podcast, the Irish and Celtic Music podcast, which I first heard about from [livejournal.com profile] bekkio. (Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] bekkio!). When I posted about the song originally, someone noted that Marc was also here on Livejournal ([livejournal.com profile] marcgunn), so I friended him. I've since been enjoying the free .mp3s he makes available.

I don't know why, perhaps because I friended him or perhaps because I'd posted a banner to his podcast, but yesterday, to my astonishment, Marc Gunn popped up with a comment to the post above to let me know that he liked the filk I'd written, and would it be okay with me if he recorded it? Mind? Of course I wouldn't mind! To my delight, he has done so, and you can listen to and download it here (or here)! (And you can donate to Marc to keep the music coming here)

Thank you so much, Marc! You did a great job, and you truly made my whole week. You have no IDEA how absurdly happy this makes me feel.
