I attended the Minnesota DFL Senate District convention yesterday. I was contemplating with some gloom the rather daunting task of writing up the experience but hah! I don't have to! Because
naomikritzer did such a fine job of reporting it already.
I ended up in the Jack Nelson-Pallmeyer/Single Payer Health Insurance walking subcaucus. We ended up sending two delegates. Really, Minnesota DFL politics can be quite entertaining. Read Naomi's report to get the skinny. Yay, I have done my civic duty, but I'm not progressing on as a delegate to the State convention.
I suspect that at least some of you are rather privately relieved.

"but his supporters mostly don't live in this part of Minneapolis, that's for sure."
They certainly don't. I was at the District 60 Convention last weekend, and Ciresi got 3 out of 30 delegates (if you count the Ciresi supporter that we traded to one of the uncommitted subcaucuses in return for a guaranteed delegate slot). Who got the majority in your convention? Ours went overwhelmingly for Franken.
