Cook's Illustrated does a podcast? Coolness on two wheels. I've noticed that the downtown library has at least one America's Test Kitchen DVD. She might be interested in checking it out, since they're the same people who do CI.

(On a side note, the library also has a DVD of Ambulence Girl, which is based on a book that the female half of the Road Food couple wrote about becoming an EMT.
