My brand new cell phone just died. I've had it less than a month.

No cell phone, no computer.

Oh dear! Well, if it makes you feel any better, in last night's local news there was a story of a small neighborhood in a town near mine, where the power company replaced some transformer equipment - WRONG equipment as it turned out and FRIED every single appliance that was plugged in to *any* outlet in seven homes.

Refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, computers, cell phones, iPods, bread machines, coffee makers, tvs, sewing machines, washers, dryers, clocks, even heating systems, all of it completely overloaded and fried unuseable. And all electric circuits also burnt beyond repairable. Everything has to be replaced.

So while not exactly comforting, I suppose it could always be worse.
