Delia is totally fed up with her traitorous body. As are we all.

She's better today--if you can call a fever bouncing around between 102 and 103 F "better." We're disappointed--we'd hoped the penicillin would have kicked in more quickly. She's eaten barely a couple of mouthfuls of food in the past 48 hours. We are trying to coax liquids into her, offering her an array of popsicles, flat ginger ale, charged water, etc. She can't manage very much.

She is really, really sick of being sick. She (and I) will be home again tomorrow.

Maybe she would enjoy a quick trip through Stuff on my Cat (or Stuff on my Mutt) as a distraction?

Poor kid.

My stomach has not been my friend for the last few months. I wish I had foods to suggest but other than saltines and mint tea, you've hit my entire list :).

I really hope she feels better soon.

Huh seems like with all the cillin she should be doing a little better then that. Can't they give her something stronger?

I'm assuming they checked her blood and urine for a secondary infection of some sort?

Hope things turn around for the better.

I concur; this is NOT usual for strep, and if the fever persists tomorrow, it's time to take her to see her physician and have a variety of bloodwork/urine testing done.

The poor dear. I hope she brightens up tomorrow and the two of you can have some nice time together.

"home again?" Did the hospital decide to keep her? Yikes. At any rate, glad she doesn't have that scary high fever any more. Hope you are able to get some rest soon and that she is better shortly.

Her fever was 101 this morning. I have a call into the triage nurse. They did do a blood up at Children's, but you think they will need to do it again?

Delia will be pissed at that, she told me she doesn't want any more needles!

They did check.

I have a call into the nurse this morning, because her temperature is up again, to 101.
