Just wanted to pass along that Governor Patterson opened a phone line to determine how much support there is for his directive to recognize all legal same-sex marriages from other states and countries.Edited to add:
I just called and it’s really easy and it took under 5 seconds.
You call 518.474.8390 and say you support the governor’s directive.
The lady who answers the phone will ask you for your zip code, make note of it, and wish you a good day.
So if anybody would like to call, have at it!
I called after business hours. You can leave a message if you can't make the call before 5 PM. Record your statement when prompted, and include your zip code. (And if you're on Facebook, search for the group named "I called Governor Paterson. Did you?")
