at one time or other, the six of us talked about:

our kids, relatives living in Chicago, our jobs, lice (did Cindy's family give them to Chet's family when they went out to visit Chet? Or was it the other way around?), movies, old high school and college friends, my parents' parents, Mom and Dad's estates, church, depression, working out (pilates, Curves for Women, aerobic vs. strength training, weight loss), cooking, geosynchronus orbit satellites, writing, Rotary, the Russian doctors that Dad had arranged to visit Columbus, Center for Citizen Iniatives, HP Education Fanon, the Hopkins school district, eating disorders, counseling and treatment for chemical dependency, Christmas, death and dying, theology, church mission, restaurants, karate, music, friendships, the benefits of holding onto possessions versus throwing things away, high school reunions, balding and going gray, recovering from the death of a child, men's accessories, golf, thinking outside the box, things we are glad we have accomplished, things we still want to accomplish, travel, regrets, civic-mindedness, photography, competitiveness, coffee, water gardens, redecorating, and thong underwear.

I really, really love my family.

Dare I ask how 'thong underwear' worked its way into the conversation? *g*

And I dearly hope that no one in your family has lost a child.

Aww, Peg, you made me miss my family. Now I want to see them. Thankfully, I live with my loffly twin sister and our cousin is coming to dinner tomorrow. I really ought to keep up with the rest more. Thanks for the glimpse. Oh, and this is random, but I remembered a while ago when one of your girls fell asleep with a book. My roommate and I have bunk beds so when I am done reading I usually toss the book on the floor but they make a lot of noise when she's asleep and one is the Bible so I decided just to leave them in bed with me. And it reminded me of you. :) Random, I know.
