was marvelous. Frank Anderson and Lowell Anderson (no relationship) were wonderful. Must transcribe my notes and digest vast quantities of information. They were incredibly generous with their time and expertise and gave me colored artist renderings and stuff on disk. They even asked me to change my icon to THEIR ice palace and told me I could upload the pictures to my website.

An outstanding success. But, oh my god, I have a lot to learn still. The meeting, if anything, showed me the huge scope of the task I'm taking on with this book.

Wonderful! It sounds like a huge step forward.

And encourages me to get moving with the [much simpler] research I've been putting off.

Oh, I relate to that, my dear -- says the girl who realized she has to have a good working knowledge of Enlightenment science for the book she's working on right now.

Which I'm looking forward to. That would be Kylen, right? I just read Fudoki and am now going back to read The Fox Woman. I blame [livejournal.com profile] pegkerr

Thanks. Any time a writer moves from something people associate her with to something new, there's a fear that readers will hate it. I'm hoping that's not true, of course.

And I'm perfectly happy to take the blame for it, thank you!
