Go out and VOTE
Nov. 4th, 2008 06:32 amObligatory message: if you haven't already done so, go out and vote.
I'm just overjoyed about this election. C'mon, c'mon. Let's do it!
(Fingers crossed, esp. on No on Prop. 8).

Date: 2008-11-04 03:50 pm (UTC)That proposition, in fact, is the first time I've ever displayed a sign in my car (no yard, so you take what you can get!), donated money, and even slipped out of work to attend a press conference/rally, to which I walked with a large group from my church with signs and banners. It's interesting to me that I've gotten more involved for the first time with an issue that technically will not affect me despite what Yes on 8 may try to claim. But at the same time it feels like an obligation that I can't ignore, to do what little I could.
And there are a lot of newlyweds in my church now, married after 15, 24, 29 years of being together...I really hope it's not the end!
