Had a slow-going morning. Shannon's boys were really peeved about having to go to school today when they had ALL THESE COUSINS staying over. Protesting loudly, they went.

I did FIRM: Strength this morning and cursed a lot at how much muscle tone I lost when I took those five months off. I also did about an hour and a half of work at the laptop, transcribing my notes from my meeting with Frank Anderson of SLL/Leo A. Daly. Now we're back at Bev's. The kids are watching Finding Nemo, as the adults work on putting together the poster boards with pictures for the service we're going to have tomorrow here at the house. Today will be spent mostly hanging out, with some people coming and going to run errands as necessary. And watching movies. And chocolate.

Thanks so very much for all the messages of condolence, my friends. I've shared them with the family, and they've all been really touched. We can certainly feel the love. Thank you.

Andrew and I send belated condolences. I caught up on livejournal last night, and I'm glad that you were all able to make it down to say goodbye. Another friend's grandmother just passed away, and he had come up up a week ago for that same reason.

You apparently missed a foot of snow back in MN. :-P Hope you can enjoy the time with family, despite the sad reason for the reunion.

I did FIRM:

Can I just say how much I admire your persistance? I was a deadbeat again today. I have had a cough as a remnant from my cold of last week and I ahven't been sleeping. (2am Friday night, 3 am saturday night, and 2 am again last night) so needless to say I've been turning over at Randy's alarm and attempting to squeeze three hours of sleep into one hour. I think if I can get to bed at a decent time tonight, I'll be able to face getting up and walking tomorrow. Otherwise I face the wrath of Peg and Amy...eeep!

Two things: first, remember the 10 minute rule. Get up and do ten minutes no matter what. Then if it's too awful, just go back to bed, absolutely guilt-free. What you'll often find is that once you're up and dressed and moving, it isn't so awful to continue after all.

Another thing that might help is to have several light day choices, like a stretching or yoga tape, for those days that you don't really feel like breaking out into a sweat, but you're working on your flexibility, so That Counts.
