pegkerrI started having abdominal pains last night, with some vomiting. I suffered it out through the night, and called the clinic nurse line in the morning. The pain was so bad I couldn't walk, but only crawl, so they told me to go in to ER.
They took me seriously and started an IV to get me re-hydrated and give me morphine for the pain. Eventually, the X-ray and the CAT scans ruled out ovarian cyst and appendicitus. It could have been a kidney stone, it could have been gall stones (they found on the CAT scan that I have some) or it could have merely been a stomach virus. At any rate, after about sixteen hours or so the pain began to ease, so they gave me a prescription for nausea, and sent me home without, thank heavens, opening me up to take out my appendix first. All the same, it was a very expensive day.
No, I did not work out today.

I just can't emotionally believe that people will pay for doctors, it's like paying to breathe, it's just so clearly wrong I don't see why you all put up with it. You could move to Canada. The cost of living is lower and you could get sick without having to worry about more than your body.
