The breakfast was delicious!

[livejournal.com profile] aome, we used your gingerbread scones:

(If you're wondering where Rob is, he protested that he was "non-camera ready" and refused to have his photo taken.)

Fiona and Delia show off the little wind up Santas they got in their stockings:

I think it's such a wonderful tradition you have here :) Instead of just letting Christmas 'fizzle', it's great to end it with a bang!

I really love it, too. It's one of my favorite family traditions. I don't know anyone else who does something like it, but maybe the idea will spread!

It's definitely on my list of intentions... we'll see if I remember when the time comes ;)

That and your 10-year-anniversary photo idea. I LOVE that one!

That and your 10-year-anniversary photo idea. I LOVE that one!

I was just trying to explain that one to my future husband - I think he's on board with it, so hopefully we too will do a tunnel through time every ten years!

I still have another 4.5 years to get my husband to think it's a great idea ;)

I really love this tradition you have, a nice bonus and a lovely way to end the holidays. You can just feel the love in the photos. And yay for scones! (That egg thing looks good, too - what's in it?)

Here's the recipe I used, although I made a few changes to lighten it a bit (I made a 1/4 recipe since only Delia and I were having any, which would have made it three eggs, but I used 1 egg and 2 egg whites, and I cut the cheese to cut the fat). It was pretty tasty!

I'll post the scones recipe tonight.
