I am listening to the Return of the King soundtrack and getting goosebumps at the sheer beauty of the music.

My LOTR obsession is in full flow. Cannot wait to see the movie! I have tickets to the opening midnight showing (of course--and I'd probably sit through it twice if they'd let me) and the following Friday. And will doubtless buy more.

Edited to add: Damn, this is good. "Into the West" brings me to tears.

I haven't bought it yet but I heard my Billy sings on it. So it's a Must Buy for me. :-)

....well, not that I wouldn't have bought it to begin with. But Christmas shopping comes first. Soundtrack will have to wait.

Hah, you're nicer than I am. The soundtrack was in my hot little hands almost the minute it came out, and screw the Christmas shopping. Okay, not quite, but I did decide it was a Christmas present to myself. Billy does sing on it and he has an *incredible* voice. Hmm...NPR just shorted out and went off the air. Guess it's time to put my own music on, say, the ROTK soundtrack? ;-)

I bought my tickets last week for opening day, but I'm trying not to think about it too much. Otherwise I won't get anything else done! But the obsession, she is powerful, and she calls to me...

:-) I can't wait to hear it.

Yeah, we've got midnight tickets. Screw sleep! Bring on Middle Earth!

*double checking she's got her box of tissues ready to go*

I bought it yesterday because that was the first day that the enhanced soundtrack came out (the one in the green leatherette binding).

OH! Is THAT why I couldn't find it on the shelf? Drat. Looks like I'll be buying another copy of the soundtrack. Ah, well, I have a friend or two who wouldn't mind my original copy.

If you don't mind spoilers, [livejournal.com profile] anna_maria saw the movie last week (yes, she somehow scored tickets to one of the premieres) and has been posting extensive commentary on her LJ for the past few days. I've chosen to read it, given that the *plot* isn't really a spoiler, and I've been curious to hear about how the movie was rendered, but it's up to you as to whether you wish to hear someone's advance views, rather than wait to see it yourself.

Hi. Where did you get your Midnight tix for? I just figured out I could go to a first showing but haven't tried for tickets yet. I also have a spare ticket for TTT:EE sunday at 4:05 at Southdale if you are available.

My midnight ticket is at the midnight show at Southdale Megastar. I'll pass on the Sunday ticket for TTT:EE (but thanks for thinking of me) but if I could hook up with you at the midnight ROTK, that would be great! Let me know if you get a ticket, and we'll try to figure out some place to meet.

Cheers,
Peg

Still working on the ticket. I am going to see if I can get one on-line from MovieFone. I will let you know asap. Do you know of anyone who might want to go on Sunday to TTT? All my usual suspects have important things going on (ie church Christmas pagent).
