I know I can't afford to buy something every day for the Decrease Worldsuck project. But I saw these at Seward Co-op yesterday and thought they were so cool that I'd come back when I get my next paycheck. Then I decided, the heck with it and went back today to make the purchase.

This is what I did today to make the world a better place: I bought a set of these from To-Go Ware, which slip easily into my purse. Americans toss out enough plastic forks, knives and spoons each year to circle the equator 300 times. CONSERVE, an NGO operating in India, makes the cases for these nifty bamboo utensils from trash bags, and in the process help make a better life for their workers. Watch the video below here; it's pretty interesting.

Interesting. My company encourages people to bring their own silverware to cut down on wasteage. I just brought in some of our mismatched forks and spoons from college years.
