A daguerreotype has been found which may be the earliest photograph of Abraham Lincoln. (Thanks to the ever eagle-eyed
knitmeapony for the link.)
sistermagpie pointed it out: you know who he looks like?
Severus Snape.
Hmm . . . deprived childhood . . . lost the girl he loved and hoped to marry when he was a young man . . . derided for his looks . . . without his role, the war would have been lost . . . murdered right at the point the war was won . . .
The mind reels . . .
I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

Date: 2009-02-09 03:27 pm (UTC)I noticed the ptosis in Lincoln's photographs the other day only because I've done medical transcription and now know the term. I noticed the raised left eyebrow without understanding that he was raising it to counteract the ptosis. I totally missed anything unusual about the left side of his face until that website pointed it out, and I started looking through other photographs of him. Amazing. It's been there all this time, all my life, and I never observed.
As for the Snape coincidences...*giggles helplessly*
