You're NOT a terrible mom just because it took you five minutes to get dinner ready. You prepared a healthy meal - heck, you prepared ANY meal. And hopefully one they ate. :P

I like "kerfuffle", too - I heard it first in Bryce Courtenay's "The Power of One", which is one of my favorite books.
