Have day off work, to go to ice palace site. I called the architect and the foundation office two days ago informing them I'm dropping by, but have received no response (yeah, well, they're busy). Am hoping there won't be a problem when I go. Am hoping there will be someone willing to answer my questions and give me access to the site.

Am hoping I don't make a fool of myself. Am absurdly nervous.

Don't worry about making a fool of yourself. We all get to do that now and then, whether we plan to or not. Ask questions about what you want to know. Don't worry if they make you look smart or dumb. People like it when you're interested in what they're doing. Even if it is the 54th time they answered the same question.

I honestly can't figure out why you were nervious. Your're an author looking for knowledge and information; you're not supposed to know anything beforehand. You're supposed to ask stupid questions. What's the problem?

You know, I don't really know the answer to that either. But I just deal with it by doing my best to pretend I'm not nervous.

Anyway, nobody's called me on it yet.
