pegkerrAn actual conversation the other day: When we went out to Cafe Latte, I asked Fiona whether she might have a Motrin in her purse. She obligingly dumped the contents of her purse out on the floor (I told her to use a bench, but Fiona being Fiona, she used the floor).
Me (blankly): "Fiona, why do you have a rock in your purse?"
Fiona: "The better question is, why don't you have a rock in yours, Mom? You can still get one, you know."
(When she mentioned this story on Facebook, her English teacher asked if she had a stick to go along with that rock. She replied no, but she did have half a walnut.)
My daughter is occasionally very odd.
