RIP Mary Travers

I'll note in passing the death of Henry Gibson, who became famous on Laugh-In. But this one hit me much closer to home: Mary Travers of the singing trio Peter, Paul and Mary:
I grew up listening to their music, thanks to my Dad, who adored them. I have many of their albums. I always admired the way they combined their music with social consciousness. They sang against war, apartheid, careless treatment of the environment, repressive governments, and bigotry, injustice and all violations of human rights. And Mary's voice was truly a thing of beauty.
