Diamond Nationals

Fiona and I are back from the Diamonds karate tournament. I'll do a full report (with videos) later, but Fiona did not place. She competed in weapons form and open competition. She decided at the last minute to back out of her sparring competition, due to soreness, and THANK GOD she did, because one of the women who competed in that division got carted away by paramedics to the ambulance on a backboard. I was deeply upset by this, and spent an inordinate amount of time hugging Fiona for the rest of the afternoon.

We have a family get together this afternoon, and Fiona and I will be going back to see the tournament finals demonstrations tonight. As I said, full report later.
