A comment from Delia that needs wider circulation

Delia (ooh_pretty_mine) left this comment here that I would like to highlight:

Well, I for one had a hard time getting over this, and it didn't even happen to me. I couldn't imagine anything happening to my sister. I don't know what I would do if something serious happened to her.

I consider us lucky, thinking about what could have happened, and I look back at how we all took the news. When I came downstairs, Fiona crying and my dad calmly telling me what happened, and I think about how I tried to stay strong, for her, for my parents, especially for my mom later, on the phone who was legit freaking out inside but trying to stay calm. I realize now that we all handled it pretty much as well as anyone could. And that's why I'm proud to be in my family. I will admit, it's annoying sometimes, but my sister is always there for me, and I feel like I tried to be there for her yesterday.

I am so glad that my family has such good friends in this community, and that you all feel proud of Fiona, after what she went through. Well I'm proud too, but not just of her, but of my whole family.

Mom, you helped so much and you kept us going. I love you and I know we'll bounce back fast and things will be pretty much back to normal.
