And here's my haven, my newly screened porch, where I plan to spend a LOT of time the rest of the summer. It'll be an oasis of neatness when the house gets too chaotic inside:









The porch really needs some plants--ordinarily I have impatiens in aluminum planters along the porch sills, but I didn't get any this year because I knew things would be shuffled around with the painters. And the garden stores are really picked over now. But I'll find something to add a pop of color next year.

I'm almost tempted to get a candle chandelier or something.
