More on the Powderhorn neighborhood incidents

There was a really remarkable letter written by the mother involved in the event I blogged about previously--she describes herself as 'the mother in the news' (she says she doesn't want to called a victim). Read the letter here. What an amazing woman.

There will be a vigil held at the park on Wednesday, December 1. There is a flyer at the link; feel free to copy and distribute. Unfortunately, I won't be able to go. I'm quite disappointed because I really want to be there; however, there is a lecture I'll be attending in Minnetonka by the author of The Chemistry of Joy and The Chemistry of Calm that I don't want to miss, either. I hope that someone on my friends list will attend the vigil and can maybe give me a report?

She sounds amazing. It feels like something we should all have printed out and taped to our bathroom mirrors. I'm glad I'm alive.

How are you holding up these days? Cough any better yet?

My cough is easing. It's still there, and annoying but it's not the oh-my-gosh-I'm-coughing-so-hard-I-can't-breathe-and-it's-totally-out-of-control. I'd been trying to gird my loins to face going back to karate tomorrow (first time in 7 weeks!) but the dojo furnace is busted, so I don't have to go back until Thursday, which is probably a good thing.

I got your card! It was lovely, and I have it up right over my desk in my nook where I can see it every day. Thank you!
