I went to work yesterday at noon and came home at 3:30 a.m., fifteen and a half total (all at straight time instead of overtime, too, dadgummit, since I was out sick all day Wednesday and half of Thursday). Opening arguments in the Big Trial are today, and so I was typing 'em. And I drew the short straw to be the early Big Trial typist, too, so altogether I got two hours sleep.

*Sigh* I'm too old for this.

I am drinking a cup of double strength mocha, which is helping a little, but not enough. Give me some snogs, or post something to cheer me up. Have a bad headache and am feeling extremely fragile.

Don't make me send out the ice weasels.

Perhaps you could send the ice weasels to the Big Trial today. They wouldn't have to do anything; they could just array themselves in the spectator's benches and give the opposite side the hairy eyeball from time to time.

Hey, think on the bright side, since you were first in the typing, you wont have to do it again till everyone has a go right?

*hugsHugs* it will be okay, and if anyone complains about your being tired you can blame them for it =D

Eep, sounds exhausting. I hope you at least get a good lunch out of it! Is announcing that dinner is out, or carry-in, a possibility, so that when you get home you can just veg?

NOBODY should have to work for 15 hours straight! I mean, unless you've a surgeon in the middle of an operation or something like that.

I got hugs if you want'em. And a pot of daisies in my office, for you to imagine, with late winter sunlight slanting in from the window. I'll try to come up with something else good for you later.

Somebody should shoot your office manager. How stupid is it to give you the early shift after a day like that?

This little story might cheer you up...

I copied this from someone on my friends list, and thought it might merit a laugh:

"Oh, here is a whacky story about these guys and their new truck: This guy bought a brand new, decked out, fancy truck and he decided to take it out when he went duck hunting, so he and his buddies loaded up the truck and headed out. This happened recently, when the lakes were frozen over.....They drove the brand new truck out onto the lake. They had brought dynomite with them because they wanted to bust a hole in the ice so the ducks would "land" in the water. So, they light the dynomite and throw it across the lake. Well, they brought the dog to retreive the ducks and when the dog saw the dynamite, he ran and retreived it and headed back toward the men. The men tried to yell at the dog to make it drop the dynamite, then they even shot at the dog to scare it away, or kill it to stop it....well, they scared the dog (still with the dynamite) and it went and hid under the new truck......needless to say, the truck is now at the bottom of the lake."
