Two things my father (who taught college) points out a lot.
1) College admissions are wierd. Sometimes you get rejected by your safety schools and admitted to the topline ones. Of course, financial aid could be an issue.
2) No one asks what college you started at; only where you graduate. The decision to start at a school is not permanent.
